Ivory Wave Alert

The purpose of this alert is to offer advice on handling users of Ivory Wave and other ‘legal highs’ who may present to services for help.

There has been a cluster of A&E admissions across the country following the use of ‘legal highs’, mainly reported after use of Ivory Wave.

Naphyrone Class B Drug

Naphyrone (often called ‘NRG1’ and ‘Energy1’) and its related compounds will become Class B drugs with effect from 00.01 on Friday July 23, 2010.

Possible Contaminated Herion at Risk of Causing Anthrax in Injecting Drug Users

The Department of Health has been alerted to two confirmed cases of anthrax in heroin injecting drug users (IDUs) in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area of Scotland. One of these cases has sadly died. There is a small number of additional suspected cases currently being investigated.
